Galerija Centrs is located in the very heart of Riga – in Old Town. This sophisticated shopping centre, rich in tradition and endowed with a special aura combines experience with the newest developments.

Galerija Centrs is among the most historically significant buildings in Riga and has successfully functioned as shopping centre since 1938. Over time, this shopping centre has always preserved its special status as a symbol of Riga’s social life.

Following a large-scale reconstruction in 2006, Galerija Centrs has become an elegant and contemporary gallery of fashion goods in the capital city, attracting people who enjoy active and modern lives. Galerija Centrs plans to have at least eight million visitors annually.

Galerija Centrs is the first shopping gallery in the Baltics that sits under a glass roof. It follows global fashion trends and belongs to the highest category of urban shopping centres.

URBAN TRENDS
The harmony and elegance-filled Galerija Centrs has been a shopping and meeting place favoured by the residents and visitors of Riga for almost a century. The most contemporary gallery of fashion goods, offering globally recognised brands and a harmonious shopping atmosphere sees its target audience as those contemporary urbanites who are open to new ideas and wish to be informed on new trends in the world of culture and fashion. LOCATION
Due to the location of the store in Old Town and its architectural development and functionality, Galerija Centrs is still the most popular shopping centre in downtown Riga. Its point of attraction is its prevailing harmony and elegant design, which is rich in historical touches.

Krišjāna Barona Street, the main shopping street, starts not far from Galerija Centrs. Galerija Centrs is also surrounded by hotels, public institutions, private offices, banks and educational institutions. Old Town and its vicinity is also an important tourist site, offering various entertainment possibilities both to the residents of Riga and its guests.

Since vehicular traffic in Old Town is restricted, Galerija Centrs does not have any parking facilities; however, several public car parks and an extensive network of public transportation are close by.

LAYOUT
Galerija Centrs is designed as a four-storey shopping centre with a health and sports centre on the 4th floor. It includes Rīdzene Street, which has been built as a glass arcade with stores, cafés and restaurants. To ensure the vertical flow of visitors to all floors of the store, substantial resources were invested in the construction of escalators, a lift and stairs. Circular pedestrian traffic is ensured on the floors with the use of internal walkways.

INTERIOR
Here, cultural life, the world of art and the charm of the capital city organically merge with contemporary interior design and globally recognised brands, offering a harmonious, modern shopping centre targeting active, cosmopolitan people who take pleasure in urban living.

During reconstruction, the historical and architectural charm of Galerija Centrs was supplemented with modern trends in interior design and style. High quality finishing materials and modern glass constructions were used, which allow natural light to brighten the entire public space.

STORES
The quality of goods and services offered, the extensive range of products arranged in 30 000 sq. m of floor space, allows visitors to enjoy their time in a fulfilling and pleasurable way and in an aesthetic and stimulating environment.

A total of 140 stores, as well as cafés, restaurants and various service providers, are located in the Centre. The central store on the ground floor is a grocery store, offering high quality products for daily needs. Speciality stores, restaurants and fashion stores – Tommy Hilfiger, Denim, Marc'O Polo, Gant, Gabor, Diesel and G-Star Raw – are located on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, while the 4th floor houses a health, beauty and sports centre – Kolonna SPA. Galerija Centrs wants to turn shopping into a pleasant, leisure time activity.
