CINDY CRAWFORD STARS IN THE NEW RESERVED CAMPAIGN
It’s finally here! The full version of the video campaign of
Reserved with Cindy Crawford as its star. In the film promoting the
latest collection of the brand the American supermodel, one of the
most beautiful women in the world, takes on the role of an
eccentric resident of the American suburbs. Sporting the
1980s-inspired look - which is a strong trend of the spring
collections she dances, acts and poses, having fun throughout. In
the clip directed by Gordon von Steiner, one of the most talented
creator of fashion films worldwide, we get the chance to see Cindy
as we have never seen her before.
“I had seen Gordon’s work in the past, so was excited to hear what he would dream up for me. I liked how there was nostalgia for the 80s,but shot in a fresh, fun way. He really pushed me out of my comfort zone with all the dancing!” - says Cindy Crawford herself about the unique RESERVED project.
Choosing Cindy as the new face of the brand is no coincidence. The concept of the campaign is strongly rooted in the aesthetics of the 1980s - the period when Crawford’s career was gaining momentum. The supermodel herself was hailed as an American fashion icon. The 1980s vibe is visible not only in the characteristic lighting and music used in the film, but most of all in the original Reserved looks. Therefore, there is a whole spectrum of pieces reflecting the 1980s vibe - from casual, yet iconic, white, logo-emblazoned T-shirts, denim jackets and high-waisted trousers to a more elegant styles reminiscent of the female characters from “Dynasty” or “The Bold and the Beautiful” - hence the tailored-fit, pastel trousers and blazers and striped suits paired with extremely wide-brimmed hats. Another interesting piece is the sporty, patchwork jacket worn by Cindy - one of the coolest style in those days. Dacre Montgomery to partner the model in the film is another good decision, as the actor is famous for his role in the second season of the cult series “Stranger Things” set in the early 1980s. The film also features another actor familiar to the Polish audience - Eric Roberts.
The I love you Cindy campaign of Reserved is without a doubt one of the biggest productions ever made by a Polish fashion brand.
Cindy Crawford is one of the most popular and renowned models of all time. Her face graced the covers of hundreds of magazines, including 50 international editions of Vogue. She was born in DeKalb, Illinois, where she was scouted at the age of 16. In the late 1980s and early 1990s she was the most recognisable model worldwide, posing for such legends of photography as Herb Ritts, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel or Peter Lindbergh. She was one of the favourite models of Gianni Versace and the muse of George Michael. In 1990 she appeared in the video to George Michael's hit “Freedom!’ 90”. The model has featured twice in the “People’s” magazine list of the most beautiful people in the world and in 1995 “Forbes” named her as the highest-paid model on Earth. Crawford also tried her hand as an actress and a TV presenter. In the early 1990s she hosted the MTV show “House of Style” for six consecutive years. Today, not only is she still leading a spectacular career in modelling, but she is also actively involved in charity work aimed at helping children suffering from leukaemia. She has a successful skin care line and also designs furniture. Cindy Crawford still fascinates and inspires - even more now than at the start of her career
